Town Team update – Town Hall
What’s next for Haywards Heath Live!
At its next stakeholder briefing Reception on 17th October, Haywards Heath Live Town Team will be reporting on developments across the community which will be developing and promoting the Town as a whole.
The long demanded Haywards Heath Loyalty Card will be launched, packed with offers from our retailers, bars and other businesses; it’s being sponsored by The Birch Hotel and is aimed at bringing in new shoppers and visitors to the Town. Meanwhile, the development of the ‘village hubs’ is gaining momentum; the Broadway Village is highly active having organised long awaited Christmas lights, courtesy of HHTC and the retailers themselves. They’re also planning ‘village’ events and it’s great news that Father Christmas will be visiting them on the 23rd November too!
Burrell Road Business Park is busy re-branding itself and, with the assistance of our town mayor, planting a World War 1 centenary garden; other infrastructure improvements are already in place and planned.
Elsewhere, the Station Quarter group has just set up and news of the redevelopment programme will be given at the Briefing. The Mill Green Business Park has also just launched, with 1st Central playing host and taking a leading role.
An update on the Orchards £7.5 million redevelopment will also be given, explaining how, in the first phase, shop fronts will be modernised to meet the requirements of today’s retail market. An exciting programme of community events for the rest of this year and 2014 will be unveiled including, of course, the Christmas Festival on 23rd and 24th November when South Road will be closed. But 2014 looks to be a bumper year with a Wedding Fair & Fashion Show, Strictly Come Gardening, our famous Greater HH Bike Ride, a Food Festival…. the list just goes on and, in culmination, the potential of possibly the most exciting Christmas ever in 2014!
There’ll also be update news from Nuffield Health Hospital on their investment plans too. Town Team Chairman, Ruth de Mierre, is looking forward to welcoming everyone: “As we’re now truly making progress across the Town, we need everyone to carry on working together for the success of all and I know it’s within our grasp!” Anyone wishing to attend, please contact Ruth on 01444 453399 or email her on firstname.lastname@example.org.
