Another ONE GREAT DAY: Ride your Pony on Saturday 4th June in The Orchards

Now in its third year, we’re planning an even more GREAT Day on Saturday 4th June to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).  Last year, a magnificent £4,127 was raised in this one day through the generosity of our townsfolk and, hosted once again by The Orchards Shopping Centre, we’re hoping to break this record this year.

The fun begins at 10.15 am, when our Town Mayor, Sujan Wickremaratchi, will open the Event ahead of the massed choirs of Lindfield & St. Wilfrid’s school choirs raising the roof with music. Throughout the day, there’ll be Pony Rides, a Disco Dome, Magic Shows as well as entertainment on stage.  And, of course, our lovely Esther Featherstone and Becky Stevens will be keeping us all, young and old, fit with Zumba and Popsteps.

Since 1852, when it opened with just ten beds, Great Ormond Street Hospital has been providing dedicated care for children from across the UK.

As Orchards Manager, Nicola Bird, says: “We’re so lucky to be living so near to this wonderful Hospital so let’s do our best to raise even more for them this year – and have a GREAT day ourselves; I can’t wait for the pony rides!”
