Loyalty comes naturally

Haywards Heath’s Town Team achieves another UK first with our wooden loyalty card.

There’s going to be a great deal to celebrate on Saturday 13th September at the annual Haywards Heath Town Day in Victoria Park. Not only do we play host to the Tour of Britain Cycle Race which sweeps through that day, along with a Military Parade to commemorate World War One, but we will also see the launch of the new – and sustainable – Town Team Loyalty Card.

The first ever wooden Loyalty Card in the UK, it was developed in partnership with Sustainable Cards, the world’s leading source of sustainable wood for hotel key cards and gift cards. As Town Team Members, Sharon Scott and Steve Clarke, say: “We’re very proud to be the first people in the UK using a wooden loyalty card – how’s that for a small market town! We’re aiming high for our Town and determined to make our retailers everyone’s first choice.”

Sir Nicholas Soames, who will be launching the new Loyalty Card on Town Day is impressed: “One of the Town Team’s aims was to encourage people to shop on their doorstep and I know this quite unique, sustainable card will help promote not just the Town but all the wonderful, independent retailers and companies who have signed up to this discount scheme for our residents. I do congratulate all the Team and wish the Loyalty Card great success for the Town.”

Daniel Green, from Broadbridges in Sussex Road, is all in favour: “I think so many people are bored with seeing exactly the same shops in every town they visit! This is the era of personality and that’s exactly what small independent companies can bring to any shopping experience and, of course, we’re doing our part in helping to reduce the amount of plastic so we’re friendly not just to our customers but to the environment!”
Penny Mordaunt High Streets Minister said: “Congratulations to Haywards Heath Town Team on launching its eco-friendly loyalty card. It’s great to see small and independent retailers getting together in this brilliant way to create a new buzz about town that will encourage people to come and shop on their high street. The Day promises to be a fantastic way to celebrate all that Haywards Heath has to offer with lots of fun for the family.” ENDS
